Excelled Montessori was recently featured on Fox San Antonio’s “Daytime” show, highlighting its commitment to kindergarten readiness through individualized, hands-on learning. The segment aired citywide and showcased how the school blends Montessori and inquiry-based education for young children across its San Antonio campuses.
During the broadcast, the Daytime team visited Excelled Montessori’s classrooms to observe children engaging in early math, literacy, and science exploration. Teachers explained how the program’s approach helps students build independence, confidence, and academic readiness from as young as 18 months.
The segment included classroom footage and testimonials from families and educators. Lauren Tijerina, a parent and STEM teacher, emphasized the school’s hands-on, inquiry-based learning:
“As a teacher and a parent, I’m constantly looking for environments that foster curiosity. Excelled does that every day. My own child has grown tremendously—academically and emotionally—because of how this school teaches.”
Melissa Zamora, who oversees curriculum and classroom support, spoke about how Excelled blends Montessori with real-world readiness:
“We’re not just teaching kids to memorize facts. We’re helping them build confidence, independence, and the ability to think critically—skills they’ll use for life.”
The feature also highlighted Excelled’s:
- Dual-language instruction (English & Spanish)
- STEM Fridays and project-based learning
- Emphasis on kindness, responsibility, and routines
- Infant through kindergarten programs across four campuses
“Our teachers are craftspeople. They build strong foundations during the most important developmental window—before age 5,” said founder Sarit Kapur.
